Quaker Accessories

There are accessories of all price, shape, colour, style and size.

Perches are very diverse. They are ready to order with a selection of lengths, diameters and materials. Some are edible and most exercise a bird’s feet as they walk across them, helping them to stay fit and healthy.

Hideaways are ready to order in a variety of designs too, like huts, blankets and tents. These give a Quaker a warm, cosy place to retreat to whenever they feel scared or threatened.

Harnesses are available in many different colours. Once they get used to flying and wearing the harness, Quakers become more sociable, fitter and see their levels of intelligence improve.

The selection of feeding dishes include bowls that fasten securely onto the cage, some that have been designed to reduce spillages and some that are transparent, so a bird can see exactly what they’re eating.

There is a big choice of cleaning products and disinfectant and sand and sanded paper, to make the cage cleaning routine one less chore.

Advise customers to use equipment like misters and baths to bathe their Quaker in and keep them lovely and clean.

But sometimes they’ll need to see the light, UV light to be precise. Unlike humans, Parrots can see UV light and it allows them to identify mates and retrieve food easier. UVA and UVB light also allows a bird to synthesise Vitamin D3 through their skin or a special process in the preening gland, that eventually allows them to produce calcium. Calcium is required for strong bones and beak.

Customers can take their Parrot with them on trips out or journeys to the vet with the travel cages. These have all the features a regular sized cage does, like perches and feeders.

Stands provide a Quaker Parrot a useful place to eat their food, play with toys or just rest away from their main cage.

Finally, weighing scales allows customers to keep track of their bird’s weight.
